We spent the night just into Route 8 near a most spectacular Buddhist complex, Yakcheon-sa Temple.
Raining on departure, but stopped after an hour or so. The Route goes through the Jungmun resort area, frantic and a bit tacky but soon after the trail returns to the sea following a small stream for a couple of kilometers through a pretty Eco-Park.
Yakcheon-sa Temple
Inside Yakcheon-sa
Korean packet noodles for dinner, same for breakfast – taste OK, light to carry
Look out the window this morning, and it’s raining
A rough jagged coastline
Weird walking through a 5 Star Resort where rooms start at $400 a night
And there was a lot more steps to come
Cheonje-sa Temple
“Grandfather” family sheltering from the rain
Path through the Eco-Park runs a couple of kilometers
Iris beside the path in the Eco-Park
Route 8 Lighthouse
Wire sculpture of a Haenyeo (Woman Diver)
Tomorrow’s hill
