Mexican encore 2014 & 2024

We arrived in Mexico City after 20 hours flying via San Francisco.
There’s a lot to see and this is our 3rd visit to Mexico City.

Puebla is a beautiful city with many 16th and 17th century buildings in the historical centre.

Oaxaca is fabulous colonial city with a strong Zapotec indigenous culture. This is our third time here.

8 Zapotec villages, Pueblos Mancomunados, lie between 2000 and 3000 meters in the Sierra Norte de Oaxaca.

Tulum – a Mayan city on the cliffs above the sea and many cenotes, water-filled sinkholes naturally formed by the collapse of limestone in the Yucatan peninsula.

Isla Holbox lies to the north of the Yucatan Peninsula. July is the best time to see the migrating whale sharks.
